The Arbeitsgemeinschaft Kammerleitstelle für Beitragsbemessungsgrundlagen GmbH (AKG) is a joint venture of 127 chambers in Germany. Unlike the chambers, AKG GmbH is not a public corporation.
The purpose of the company is to operate a joint control centre for the chambers of crafts and trades and the chambers of industry and commerce for the transmission of tax bases between the state tax authorities and the chambers for the purpose of assessing contributions.
In addition to operating the control centre as a core task, AKG GmbH supports the member chambers by providing services for the complete registration of all chamber members and the assessment of all contributions.
AKG GmbH receives the data from the state tax authorities via AKB e.V. and from the chambers. Conversely, AKG GmbH transmits data to the state tax authorities and the chambers or, on their behalf, to their IT service providers.
