Founded in Mainz in 1736, Kirchheim-Verlag is one of Germany's oldest specialist publishing houses. The publisher has specialised in print media on medical topics. Its "Diabetes Journal" was launched in 1952. Since then, it has also launched magazines such as "Der Allgemeinarzt" ("The GP"), "Der Nierenpatient" ("The Kidney Patient") and "Kinderärztliche Praxis" ("Paediatric Practice"). Their current service spectrum includes Internet portals, training courses and congress organisation.
