Herkules-Resotec Elektronik GmbH specialises in industrial control and automation technology. We develop visualisations, as well as hardware and software, primarily for companies in the plastics processing, automotive, mechanical engineering and medical technology sectors. In this context, we work for Volkswagen and Heidelberg Postpress, among others. We have an alliance with Mitsubishi Electric in the field of plastics processing. We also offer our partners series production of electronic components.
Sophisticated machines and systems require the automation of complex processes. Nevertheless, the processes must remain easy for people to control and operate. We therefore create solutions that are as simple and intuitive to operate as possible.
A good 50 employees work at Herkules-Resotec Elektronik GmbH, the majority of whom are computer scientists and engineers specialising in various fields. Interdisciplinarity and lateral thinking enable us to find new and better ways of solving our customers' specific problems.
Projektron BCS is very flexible
The working times and models of our employees can hardly be mapped in conventional time recording systems. In development, the day runs differently than in straight-line production - especially when employees are working on several projects at the same time.
We were looking for a flexible system that would allow our employees to quickly and easily book their working hours to individual projects - and at the same time enable us to use the resulting data for effective project controlling.
Projektron BCS proved to be an excellent solution for these areas: All the information required for controlling can be generated quickly from the time recording data and can be visualised with a single click. Various diagrams such as Gantt charts and reports on individual projects are easy to generate.
Handy and not overloaded
Projektron BCS is also easy to use and ergonomic: time recording is so simple that even our trainees can use the system to book their hours after just a few minutes of explanation. And because Projektron BCS is web-based, our employees can also easily access the system from home.
