Success story from it4logistics
it4logistics helps logistics companies to organise their processes. We develop e-business solutions for the logistics industry and set up IT structures that make entire processes transparent. We offer process analysis, consulting, software development, implementation and training. With our systems, the range of services of an integrated logistics service provider can be mapped and organised in all areas. One of the things that it4logistics appreciates about Projektron BCS is that the software helps to overcome language barriers.
it4logistics makes logistics expertise visible. This is how we work together with many large companies in the industry.
We have been using Projektron BCS for several years as a basic tool for our own project planning and for controlling and analysing our projects. The resource utilisation tool serves us as a central planning and control element. It has proven to be very valuable in this respect. It helps us to be able to give customers clear deadlines and then stick to them.
When planning projects, we find it very convenient that the flexible structure plan from BCS enables us to precisely map even complex processes. This allows us to fully map our project and release planning in Projektron BCS. And the overview that BCS provides helps us to manage projects: the visualisation options, such as Gantt charts, allow us to quickly get an overview of where we stand and whether we need to change course in order to complete work on time.
In general, the fact that the software is web-based helps us a lot: our customers are international and many of our employees spend a lot of time in the companies we support. Thanks to the mobile access to BCS, all relevant data is still available to them. Relevant documents can be managed centrally in the file repository linked to the respective project, and our employees can easily access important documents on site at the customer's premises. Last but not least, Projektron BCS offers the option of working with foreign-language user interfaces. This makes communication with foreign customers much easier.
We have also learnt to appreciate the BCS ticket module. We use it both in our development department for internal communication and in contact with customers: We process support requests via tickets and archive the processes centrally at the same time. This means that everything can be traced if there is a need for clarification.
Projektron BCS helps us to better plan, manage and analyse our projects. We use the software very intensively - and we want to use it even more in the future.
