Success story from On-Ergy GmbH

Faced with the decision to further develop our own project management software or to switch to standard software, we decided in favour of Projektron BCS. Our requirements, such as a good price/performance ratio, flexible customisation and expansion of the software, as well as simple operation, are excellently covered by Projektron BCS. In addition, the advantages of the web GUI save us the need for updates on individual computers, thus minimising maintenance costs.


On-Ergy is a Bavarian software company based in Pfronten. Its main area of business is the development and maintenance of customised and standard software, which is used, for example, in safety-relevant areas of motor racing. Its customers include well-known companies such as Audi, Seat and Schwäbisch Hall.

Projektron BCS reduces lead times

As a small software company, we long had the ambition to handle our project management with an in-house development. But at some point we had to realise that maintaining and developing the tool simply took up too many resources.

Research on the Internet and in trade journals repeatedly brought Projektron BCS to our attention. The project management software enjoys a good reputation and promised to help us plan and track our tasks even more precisely than before. Now, almost two years later, we are still convinced that the decision in favour of Projektron BCS was the right one.

Lead times have been significantly reduced in the area of project management. One of the reasons for this is that templates can be created in the software that can be used to map recurring project structures.

Operation learns by itself

But what convinced me the most about the software is the good support and the ease of use: the handling is excellent, you can learn Projektron BCS "learning by doing" and hardly produce any error messages, so the training effort is very low. And if there are still questions, the good homepage and the training videos help you to quickly familiarise yourself with the functions. My colleagues were therefore quickly convinced by Projektron BCS - and we even like the ticket system for support so much that we are thinking about adopting it for our own customer support.

Projektron BCS has helped us a lot in mapping project management and time recording more precisely than was possible with our own software. At the same time, we have by no means tapped into all the areas that we would like to utilise: For example, we haven't had the time to use Projektron BCS resource management to keep an eye on employee utilisation.

And to maximise transparency, we will soon be giving our customers access to the status of the projects we are handling for them. This will allow them to see how quickly their projects are being processed - as quickly as on the race track.
