Pinuts offers its customers creative and intelligent solutions for web-based applications. As a Projektron customer from the very beginning, Pinuts relies on Projektron BCS for project management and project organization, among other things - the software supports the agile approach and makes it transparent. Almost all processes are handled in BCS as a central application.
Pinuts digital thinking GmbH has been a Projektron customer from the very beginning. We have been using the BCS project management software to plan, coordinate and evaluate projects since 2001. Our customers engage us when they are looking for a creative and intelligent solution for a web-based application. Our core competencies are in the areas of content management systems, eCRM systems and web-based business process management applications.
Successfully realizing innovation projects
Being innovative is an important prerequisite for companies to be successful in the market. Regardless of whether it's a question of new processes, new procedures, new markets, new products, new processes or new sales channels - innovation is essential for a company's survival. The idea for an innovation usually originates within the company itself and, in the best case, can also be implemented by the company's own employees. In an increasingly diversified world, however, companies can no longer rely solely on their own innovative capabilities. It is essential to use external knowledge for one's own innovation process.
External experts can broaden the perspective and bring expertise in areas that may not be available within the company itself. We at Pinuts have a lot of experience in developing the right web application based on an idea or an objective. We use state of the art web technology. Since we have already realized a large number of projects in the web area, we quickly find solutions and can realistically estimate the cost framework. In a close division of labor between us and the customer, we translate the most diverse requirements into software.
Our approach is characterized by an agile process model
The focus of the development of solutions and systems is the customer's objective. In order to be able to react optimally to this objective, we use an agile procedure model, which is able to react adaptively to changing requirements and framework conditions.
One of the main requirements for a new project management software was that it had to be web-based. This is necessary because about half of the work is done with Linux/open source software and half with Windows. We also wanted a central server with a database through which we could run project planning and monitoring in all phases.
The key principles that drive us are multiple use of existing resources, expediency, customer proximity and continuous progress measurement. This enables us to achieve faster, more flexible and cost-effective implementation with good quality and maximum customer benefit. Applications and solutions are created that meet the set requirements through continuous coordination with the customer and that do not merely manage complex problems.
How we use Projektron BCS
Projektron BCS supports us in project management and project organization as well as collaboration with our customers. Agile process models require close and trusting cooperation between the client and the service provider because, unlike a classic approach, there are no requirements specifications drawn up before the start of the project and no precisely calculated schedules.
With Projektron BCS, we give our customers a transparent insight into the project work and the current status of resources, efforts and costs at all times.
At Pinuts, Projektron BCS is used to log working hours, manage deadlines and organize project tasks. All working hours and costs incurred in a project are recorded and documented in the software. Even with agile process models, we can thus precisely document efforts and make them documentable and billable for invoicing.
Thanks to the numerous additional functions of Projektron BCS, such as time recording, vacation and expense management, quotation and invoicing, almost all of our work processes can be handled in a central application. Thanks to the flexible rights management of Projektron BCS, our external project employees can also be integrated into the software without any problems. Since the software is web-based, all project participants access the same database regardless of their location.
